Before we get to our action, I want to describe to you what happened the morning of the Fourth of July in Washington DC and who are these well-coordinated-outfits marchers.

WHO ARE THESE DIAPER-FACED COWARDS?
Patriot Front is a white nationalist and fascist organization founded in 2017 by Thomas Ryan Rousseau after the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The group emerged from Vanguard America, a neo-Nazi organization that participated in the August 12, 2017 rally where counter-protester Heather Heyer was killed by a member of Vanguard. Since then, Patriot Front has tried to repackage white nationalism through patriotic symbols, uniforms, propaganda videos, flags, stickers, and organized public marches. Researchers describe the group’s goal as the creation of a white ethnostate in the United States, not a multiracial constitutional democracy.
The group’s public strategy is highly visual. Members often appear in khaki pants, blue shirts or jackets, caps, sunglasses, and white face coverings. They stage “flash” demonstrations, distribute posters and stickers, and use American historical imagery to present themselves as defenders of the nation. The Anti-Defamation League says Patriot Front has been responsible for a large share of white supremacist propaganda activity in the United States since 2019, including flyers, posters, stickers, banners, and online material.
Patriot Front’s actions have repeatedly moved beyond symbolic speech. On June 11, 2022, police in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho arrested 31 people associated with Patriot Front near a Pride event after they were found packed into a U-Haul with shields and riot gear. In July 2022, members held an unpermitted “flash march” in Boston, where Black musician Charles Murrell III was assaulted; in January 2025, a federal judge ordered Patriot Front, Rousseau, and unnamed members to pay about $2.7 million in damages. In a separate civil-rights case, a federal court ordered Patriot Front, Rousseau, William Ring, and Jacob Brown to pay more than $470,000 after the vandalism of a mural honoring Arthur Ashe in Richmond, Virginia.
On July 4, 2026, during the United States’ 250th Independence Day celebrations, hundreds of masked Patriot Front members marched through Washington, D.C. The group carried Patriot Front flags, Confederate flags, and altered U.S. flags while chanting “Reclaim America.” The march moved through areas near Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. Police reported no arrests, and officials described the event as protected speech under the First Amendment.
Its leader, founding history, public actions, legal cases, and propaganda methods show a group using patriotic language to promote racial nationalism. The key issue is not whether the group has a legal right to march. In the United States, even extremist groups may have First Amendment protection. The civic question is whether elected leaders will clearly identify the ideology being promoted and defend the constitutional principle that citizenship is not based on race, ancestry, religion, or ethnic identity.
OUR ACTION
This is not about banning speech. The First Amendment protects many ugly, hateful, and anti-democratic ideas. But elected leaders also have speech. They have power. They have oaths. They have a responsibility to tell the public the truth.
So our action is simple:
Contact the President, your senators, your representative, your governor, your mayor, and your state legislators. Ask them to publicly denounce Patriot Front by name.
The public deserves to know whether our government leaders can identify a movement that uses American symbols to sell racial hierarchy. Patriotism is not masks, Confederate flags, and bloodline politics. Patriotism is equal citizenship under the Constitution.
And while they are speaking, they should also stand up for fair treatment of Major Jason Watson. A country that can tolerate masked white nationalists marching through its capital can tolerate a decorated officer asking Congress to do its job.
